Don't you love the weather here on the coast! Much needed rain for the new crops; strawberry plants are growing, apples have blossomed, lettuce is booming, and the spuds are breaking out more everyday! Can't seem to cover them quick enough!
We just returned from Delaware, and I'm readjusting to work ... slowly. Hard to get back in the harness after kayaking the lake, birding at Prime Hook, soaking in the Jacuzzi, sipping wine on the porch, and supporting the local eateries.
Oyster night at Meding & Sons (thanks for the great tunes!), Wine, Beer & Food Festival at Nage, breakfast at the Rehoboth Diner (but, only because JD's was closed!).
Don't forget to support your local
organic farmer; save gas, reduce pollution, eat well, be well.

The new book Seedman & BreadLady still in the works! Here is a brief excerpt in the meantime!
"As humans, we easily forget that small space at the back of our house. A patch of grass, a few trees, some irksome bugs in summer. We dust it off for the bar-b-que, green the grass, mow the lawn, and plant a few flowers to make it all worthwhile. Its contribution to our lives is relatively insignificant. We’re busy.
When there’s time to stop and listen, to gaze out the window without a rush, this small world reveals a universe. Not just in our backyard, but everywhere, in every state, and on most continents.
The backyard is a busy metropolis, filled with drama, intrigue, romance, rivalry. Filled with as much danger as a nighttime walk on the wrong side of the tracks. There are commuters rushing to their daily grind, parents caring for children, shoppers getting the best value for their families. Lessons are learned ... for us."
